#WeWearAustralian x Afterpay Runway 2023
We were thrilled to be invited to participate in the #WeWearAustralian x Afterpay Runway at this years Australian Fashion Week. Over 80 brands participated in the collaborative and inclusive celebration of diversity and Australian Fashion.

The parade concluded with ReCouture a unique collaboration with Thread Together, whereby we were included in the handful of designers were asked to take on the creative challenge to give new life to excess mens suiting.

Our focus was on 'Longevity & Transformation'.
We wanted to create something wearable, exploring the idea of longevity of the garments by giving them a newness and soul. Experimenting with different methods of visible mending as a way to extend its life as well as individualise the garments.
Then comes the transformation - taking these strong traditional silhouettes and giving them a new femininity through soft lines and panelling.
